I saw it last night and it was scary. stanley Kurbrick directed this movie based on the novel by Stephen King is about a writer who with his family, became caretaker for a inn in Colorado. all weird things began to happen, begining with the song who has a scary imagary friend. Now to the writer, played by Jack nicholson who can be very scary as he runs around the inn with a ax. Shelly Duvall plays the wife who have to put up with Nicholson's rants. Here are more moments; 1) Jack Nicholson come upon a party scene form the 1920's, 2) Two scary girl who confronted the kid. 3)The scary moment where Nicholson chased the kids in the snow. 4) Jack after he smashed the door ylling "Here's Johnny." The Shining " was released in 1980 at a time where horror movies were domionated by slasher flicks. "The Shining" may be pigeon holed as a slasher flick, but it more than just that. It's a scary horror film that I will recomend. did I mention that last night I watch "the Shining" over "American Idol." As of right now, I didn't know who won American Idol and I didn't care. I just glad that I saw "The Shining."
