"Hey Stella!" shouted Marion Brando in the classic 1951 film "A Streetcar named Desire." It a film directed by Elia Kazan, based on the Tennessee Williams play that is loyal to the big screen. This movie has push the limits of ceasorship.
The film features Vivien Leigh,(yes the same actress in "Gone with the Wind")who visited her sister Stella played by Kim Hunter and her husband Stanley played by Brando.
This film is powerful, well-wrtitten, with strong performances by Brando, Leigh and Hunter. "Desire" is must-see cinema.
