Hollywood, CA: ArcLight Cinemas to Get Digital Projection - BigScreen Journal: The BigScreen Cinema Guide

The Hollywood Reporter has an article that says that the ArcLight Cinemas and the Cinerama Dome will be getting Digital Cinema Projection systems:

Each installation -- seven theaters at the ArcLight and plus the Cinerama Dome -- includes the networked system, a satellite system for content delivery and the Technicolor Theatre Management System. The systems will be supported by Technicolor's maintenance services with 24/7 remote monitoring to ensure system health.

Digital Projection Systems are marching into theaters across the country, with the promise to studios to save money on distribution, theaters to be able to provide not only movies but alternative events like the recent Hannah Montana concert, and a consistent experience for movie enthusiasts.
