The director's cut of the cult classic "Blade Runner" starring Harrison Ford is due to be released on DVD in fall, followed by a 25th anniversary "final cut," which Warner Home Video is billing as Scott's "definitive new version" of the film. When the latter version is released, the former will no longer be available.
After a limited theatrical release, the newly spruced-up "Runner" will be released in a multidisc special edition DVD that also will include the original theatrical cut, the expanded international theatrical cut and the 1992 director's cut.If you can't go a day without quoting the movie, this is definitely good news. If you haven't seen the movie yet, it is available on Netflix and Amazon.
