The Denver Business Journal is reporting that the UA Continental 6 in Denver, Colorado is now the Regal Cinemas Continental Stadium 10 & Giant Screen, by adding four screens to the existing six. The new screens opened today.
The article says that the theater's original screen (it was originally a single-screen, and five screens were added in 1996), which houses the location's "giant screen," will be remodeled this fall so that it will have stadium seating.

Regal Cinemas is celebrating the grand opening by offering free popcorn until May 22nd, and a free T-shirt with the first 200 tickets sold at the box office each day May 16 - 18 and May 22 - 24 (excluding midnight shows). On Sunday, May 18, they will be hosting a Family Fun Carnival from 1:00-5:00pm, which includes free activities with carnival games, bounce houses, magicians, and more.
The theater is outfitted with the "Regal Guest Response System," which provides select patrons with pagers that will summon theater staff if there are problems with the presentation or unruly patrons.

Regal Entertainment Group Completes Expansion of Continental Stadium 10
Knoxville, Tennessee - May 14, 2008 - Regal Entertainment Group (NYSE: RGC), a leading motion picture exhibitor owning and operating the largest theatre circuit in the United States, today announced the opening of additional screens at Denver's well known Continental theatre. Regal Cinemas Continental Stadium 10 & Giant Screen, formerly UA Continental 6, has added four new stadium-seating auditoriums. To celebrate the Grand Re-opening, Regal Continental will host special events and promotional activities beginning Friday, May 16.
"We are extremely proud of the newly expanded and remodeled Regal Continental Stadium 10. Many of our loyal patrons have very fond memories of this theatre, so we are excited to offer the new and improved Continental to entertain many generations to come," stated Dick Westerling, Regal Entertainment Group Senior Vice President of Marketing and Advertising. "Regal Continental remains a premiere location for enjoying major motion picture events and the Giant Screen experience. Our moviegoers will surely enjoy all the latest amenities at the newly expanded theatre."
Construction work at Regal Continental has ended just in time for the summer movie season. The modern movie theatre now boasts stadium seating and new high-back rockers in 9 auditoriums. But there is more to come, as the original auditorium with the Giant Screen will undergo a transformation this fall to stadium seating. The new and improved Giant Screen with stadium seating should be complete in time for the Holiday movie season.
The Giant Screen auditorium was Continental's original built in the 1960s. In the summer of 1996, the theatre added five auditoriums. And in 2008 the Continental now offers 10 screens of entertainment. Through the use of stadium seating each row is elevated for an unobstructed view. Improvements include the addition of high-back rocking chairs with cupholder armrests which move out of the way to form seats for two.
Regal Continental Stadium 10 & Giant Screen is located in Denver off of I-25 at the Hampden Avenue exit. Everyone is invited to celebrate the Grand Re-opening with these exciting promotional activities:
Friday, May 16
First-run films including: The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian.
Enjoy free popcorn with each paid admission May 16 - 22.
Free Movie T-Shirts
Receive a T-shirt with the first 200 tickets sold at the box office each day May 16 - 18 and May 22 - 24.
Offer excludes midnight shows.
Sunday, May 18, 1:00-5:00pm
Family Fun Carnival!
Free activities with carnival games, bounce houses, magicians and more!
The management and staff of the renovated Continental theatre have also recently completed training for "Regal Excellence Guaranteed." Through this program, each staff member makes a personal pledge to deliver an outstanding entertainment experience to every guest. If on the rare occasion a guest's expectations are not met, the local manager will offer the guest a complimentary trip to the movies. Regal Continental Stadium 10 is also outfitted with the "Regal Guest Response System" as selected guests carry a paging device into their auditorium. If there is a disturbance or reason to alert management, help is only a push button away.
Regal Continental Stadium 10 & Giant Screen offers the Regal Crown Club to reward frequent guests. More than 11-million moviegoers have joined the Regal Crown Club to make it the most popular loyalty program in the industry. Through the Regal Crown Club moviegoers accumulate credits at the box office and concession stand to earn free popcorn, soft drinks and movies. Membership is free and is available either at the theatre or online at www.REGmovies.com.
