Regal Cinemas announced this week that it will be remodeling their 15-screen cinema in Fredericksburg, Virginia. Construction is due to begin this fall and will continue while the theater remains open, with completion scheduled for next summer.
Remodeling the Regal Fredericksburg 15 will involve combining two screens into one larger one, which necessitates the planned name change to the "Regal Cinemas Fredericksburg Stadium 14." The project involves installing digital cinema projection systems in all screens, revamping the lobby, box office, concession stand, and every auditorium. They will also have Digital 3D capability, which is a good thing, considering how many 3D movies are scheduled for release in the coming years.
