The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel is reporting that the Marcus Prospect Mall Cinema will be closing its doors after the last movie on Sunday, June 18th. The decision to not renew the lease was made mutually by Marcus Theatres Corp. and the building's owner.
The theater, 2239 N. Prospect Ave., had limited parking, said company spokesman Carlo Petrick.
Also, the cinema, which opened in 1976, was obsolete. Most of the company's theaters have several screens, as well as stadium seating and other amenities that Prospect Mall Cinemas lacked, Petrick said.
