The Orlando Sentinel is reporting that movie fans in Clermont, Florida will have an additional option for seeing movies when the EPIC Theatres of Clermont opens at Clermont Landing near Highway 27 and Steve's Road on April 24, 2009.

According to the article, eight auditoriums will be equipped with digital projection systems and four will be equipped with silver screens to show 3D movies, starting with Monsters vs. Aliens 3D.

Clermont residents should enjoy having a theater nearby, since the closest theaters were more than 10 miles away in Ocoee and Orlando.

EPIC operates five locations in Florida, North Carolina, and Pennsylvania. I did manage to find a press release from last August regarding the new location. Keep in mind that some details may have changed since then.
