Regal Entertainment Group announced yesterday the details for their "2009 Free Family Film Festival," which offers guests G and PG rated movies for free on Tuesday and Wednesday mornings this summer.

This family-oriented film series will show movies like Hotel for Dogs, Kung Fu Panda, Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa, and Shrek the Third at 10am each Tuesday and Wednesday. Special concession items will also be available (but not free).

Unfortunately, the press release from Regal does not mention when the film series begins. The best way to know if your favorite Regal theater is participating and which movies are playing is to view their showtimes page. Since there are over 300 participating locations, we aren't able to link directly to any particular theater, so take a look at your Favorite Theaters list and the Nearby Theaters page for the Regal Cinemas locations near you.
