In "New Moon," Bella Swan is devastated by the abrupt departure of her vampire love, Edward Cullen but her spirit is rekindled by her growing friendship with the irresistible Jacob Black. Suddenly she finds herself drawn into the world of the werewolves, ancestral enemies of the vampires, and finds her loyalties tested.

Using a budget of just around $37 million, Twilight opened in theaters last November at #1 and stayed in the Top 10 until the end of January. Its worldwide box office is reported to be just over $351 million, which has to make some accountants at the studio very very happy! Understandably, the hype surrounding New Moon is very high, and fans are eagerly awaiting the new sequel. A second sequel, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse is scheduled to begin production this month, and has been planned for release for the summer of 2010.
