The Atlanta Business News is reporting that the AMC Magic Johnson Greenbriar Mall 12 in Atlanta, Georgia closed yesterday, October 11, 2009:
The Greenbriar theater changed hands several times. AMC acquired it after merging with Loews Theatres in 2006.
AMC spokesman Andy DiOrio said the company has closed a handful of theaters nationwide this year as it seeks to upgrade or close aging theaters.
There are two AMC locations nearby, the AMC Parkway Pointe 15 and AMC Southlake 24, so movie fans in the Greenbriar Mall area will need to drive a little further to see movies on the big screen.
