The Patriot-News is reporting via pennlive.com that the Cinema Center 12 in Palmyra, Pennsylvania has closed it doors at the beginning of August:

Owners of the 12-screen movie complex decided to fade to black because of falling ticket sales.

Gina DiSanto, CEO of Cinema Centers Inc., blamed the business' failure on competition from surrounding theaters.

Even lowering ticket prices didn't lure moviegoers, she said.

Moviegoers in the Palmyra area will need to go to one of the other 11 theaters within a short driving distance, including five in Harrisburg.
