Frank Entertainment announced on April 15, 2010 that it will be opening a new movie theater in the Inlet Square Mall in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina. Frank Entertainment is the parent company of Frank Theatres, which operates 18 movie theater locations across New Jersey, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Florida.

The new 12-screen theater will boast a full array of Sony 4K digital cinema projectors, leather rocker seats, flip-up armrests, wall-to-wall screens, digital sound, and 3D capability. While the press release from Frank Entertainment did not mention a projected opening date, the Inlet Square Mall is undergoing a renovation which is due to be completed in August, and an article on the WPDE NewsChannel 15 web site mentions an October 2010 release timeframe.

The area has been missing a movie theater since the Regal Inlet Square Cinemas 12 closed in January, reportedly due to delays in the mall's renovations.
