The Toledo Blade is reporting that the Rave Motion Pictures Maumee 18 in Maumee, Ohio will be closing later this summer:

Rave Motion Pictures, which bought the area’s four largest theater complexes in December from National Amusements Inc., has decided to close the Maumee 18 theater complex at 1360 Conant St. in August or early September. The company confirmed the closing Thursday, saying it had determined that there were too many movie screens in the south Toledo area.

The article also mentions that Rave Motion Pictures is planning to upgrade the Rave Motion Pictures Fallen Timbers 14, which is located less than five miles away. 3D projection equipment is planned and a larger screen might also be added to that location.

no more movies at levis, or fallen timbers, maumee 18 had the best parking, no mall to deal with. you can't force people to go elsewhere, they have a mind of their own. from now on, think Redbox.
