Digital Cinema Projection (Digital Cinema, for short) has come to Eau Claire, Wisconsin with the recent installation of six digital projectors at the Carmike Oakwood Mall cinema this month.
You can spot these presentations easily by visiting their showtimes page (see above link). You will notice the DLP Digital Projection logo
next to the showtimes playing in the digital cinema equipped theaters.
If you're wondering what digital cinema is, and why it should matter to you, read our Help Document "What is Digital Cinema Projection?"
In our experience, digital cinema solves many of the problems that can plague a film presentation. While film is capable of displaying a better picture, the reality is that the general public suffers from some or all film-related issues of jump, weave, scratches, and sound dropouts more often than not.
