Starplex Cinemas announced this week that they will offer free movies at their Oklahoma locations to senior citizens in August when the temperature exceeds 100 degrees.
According to the press release issues on July 28, 2010:
In an attempt to relieve patrons from the recent heat wave, Starplex Cinemas will offer free admission to senior citizens over the age of 60 on days that the Daily Oklahoman forecasts the temperature to be over 100 degrees. The Beat the Heat promotion will run from August 1st-31st at the Crossroads Movies 8, Robinson Crossing 6 and Northpark Movies 7 locations. A valid ID stating the patron's birthday must be presented in order to receive free admission.
Starplex Cinemas currently operates 22 locations in California, Illinois, Indiana, Oklahoma, Texas, and Washington.
