You can purchase the digital download of the soundtrack for The Social Network for just $2.99 at Gift Shop merchant Amazon.com, for 48 hours, starting at 12:01am PT on 9/28/2010. The movie is about the first days of Facebook and its founder, Mark Zuckerberg, and the soundtrack features the music of Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross.

This special pricing will only be available from 12:01am PT on 9/28/2010 through 12:01am on 9/30/2010.

The 19-track soundtrack will also be available on CD, vinyl, and Blu-ray audio disc starting on October 15, 2010. I was not able to find a link on iTunes for the album yet.

The Blu-ray audio disc release is particularly interesting, as it contains all 19 tracks in lossless stereo and 5.1 surround sound. There aren't any purchase details on Amazon.com yet, but we'll update this post as the details become available.
