The Patriot Ledger is reporting that Regal Cinemas is planning a massive makeover for the Regal Cinemas Independence Mall 14 in Kingston, Massachusetts in 2011:
The project – which will increase the size of the cinema space from 42,000 square feet to 58,000 square feet – will also feature one RPX screen, Regal’s giant-screen equivalent of an IMAX screen. Three screens underwent 3D conversions in May; at least three screens will have 3D capabilities once the project is done.

Construction is set to begin in early 2011 and will take approximately eight months to complete. It's not certain whether some or all of the theater's 14 screens will be closed during the project.
