Regal Cinemas logoThe Regal Cinemas Clifton Park Center 8 in Clifton Park, New York has closed, presumably as part of a renovation project underway at the Clifton Park Center that will increase the theater's screen count from 8 to 10 and the addition of a 10-story Hilton Garden Inn. Those renovations are expected to be complete by Christmas 2011.

A December 29, 2010 article in The Business Review made it sound as though the theater was getting a 2-screen addition, but a story published in the Albany Times Union on January 8, 2011 says that the theater was being demolished as part of the renovation project.

While the theater is closed, moviegoers will need to choose from a list of 6 theaters within 10 miles of Clifton Park.
