Bangerter Homes in Herriman, Utah was inspired by the Disney movie Up to build the centerpiece of the movie; Carl Fredrickson's house that he hooks up to lots of helium balloons and flies to his dream location of Paradise Falls.
They worked with Disney to get permission to build the 2,800 square foot house, and reproduced every detail, right down to the mural over the fireplace and the handprints on the mailbox. TV station KSL featured the house on a recent newscast, the video of which appears below:
The house will be featured in the Salt Lake Parade of Homes from July 29th through August 14th, 2011. Click the Read link to visit the builder's web site with more information about the house.
