The Denver Post is reporting that Alamo Drafthouse Cinemas will be opening a new location in Littleton, Colorado in late 2012. The Alamo Drafthouse Cinema - Aspen Grove will be a seven-screen complex in the Aspen Grove shopping center near Santa Fe Drive (US 85) and Mineral Avenue.

"We're very excited to expand the Alamo Drafthouse to moviegoers in Colorado," said Tim League, founder and chief executive. "We've found an area for a natural extension of our concept, which began in Austin, to a like-minded audience of serious movie and beer lovers."

Alamo Drafthouse Cinemas operates nine locations in Texas and one in Virginia. They are known for offering the combination of not only dinner and a movie, but a cold beer as well. They made news earlier this year when a customer was kicked out of one of their locations for using a cell phone, and the message she left on their voice mail system became part of their on-screen public service announcement about their zero-tolerance ban on cell phone use during the movie.
