The AMC Huebner Oaks 24 in San Antonio, Texas closed earlier this month. An article in the San Antonio Express-News in October mentioned that the theater's closure was a result of AMC not renewing their lease:

The 24-screen movie multiplex has been at its Northwest Side location at 11075 Interstate 10 West for 14 years, but it lost its lease, and the movie chain and property owner were unable to negotiate a lease renewal, theater public relations director Ryan Noonan said.

The article goes on to say that building owner Entertainment Properties Trust was seeking another theater operator for the space, so perhaps it won't be empty for long. Click the Read link below to view the full article.

AMC still has another location in San Antonio, the AMC Rivercenter 9, which is not closing. Fortunately, for moviegoers in San Antonio, there are quite a few choices available. We list a total of 19 theaters within 15 miles of San Antonio, and all but one are within the city limits.
