The Mann Westlake Village 8 in Westlake Village, California closed Tuesday, December 27, 2011. An article in the Los Angeles Daily News says that the theater will be renovated and turned into a luxury theater operated by Cinepolis:

In May, the theater will re-open as a Cinepolis theater. The Mexico-based cinema chain is the fourth-largest cinema-house operator in the world.

The company offers theaters with a full bar and restaurant; leather recliners; personal call buttons; and reserved seating. Additionally, waiters are on call to deliver beverages and dining options to moviegoers.

Paul Kurzawa, chief operating officer of Caruso Affiliated, owner of The Promenade, called Cinepolis a `best in class' operator.

This was the last location owned by Mann Theatres. Moviegoers in the area will still have plenty of choices, including the Regency Westlake Village Twin nearby.
