Kevin Costner's action/adventure movie The Guardian is opening in theaters on Friday, September 22nd, but select theaters are showing an advance screening of the movie this Saturday (9/16).

The Guardian is about a rescue swimmer who is sent to teach at the elite Coast Guard Rescue Swimmer "A" School. Wrestling with the recent loss of his rescue crew, he dives into his new assignment, turning the program upside down with his unorthodox training methods.

While there, he encounters a young, cocky swim champ and molds him into a Rescue Swimmer. After graduation, they both go to Alaska and are called upon to perform a rescue in the dangerous Bering Sea, where the true meaning of heroism and sacrifice comes to light.

The Guardian stars Kevin Costner and Ashton Kutcher, and is rated PG-13 for intense sequences of action/peril, brief strong language and some sensuality.
