|Home: BigScreen Journal - Gainesville, FL: Gator 4 Changes Hands, Gets Renovated|
The Trademark Cinemas Gator 4 in Gainesville, Florida changed ownership from Trademark Cinemas to Cinema Holdings in April 2010, and is currently undergoing renovations, according to an article in The Gainesville Sun:
Under new ownership, Gator Cinemas near The Oaks Mall has undergone a much-needed renovation on two of its four theaters just in time for the busy season.
According to Ben Kafash, the new owner and president of Cinema Holdings, Gator Cinemas changed hands in April and dove right into spring cleaning. In two of the four theaters, they replaced the old, stained seats with new, high-backed seats. They plan to refurbish the other two theaters after the summer season ends.
"Right now is the busy season and I can't risk having the theaters shut down," Kafash said.
Cinema Holdings purchased the business from Trademark Cinemas, a small, independent theater owner based in Coral Springs.
