The Marcus South Towne Cinema in Monona, Wisconsin closed its doors on Sunday, September 17, 2006.
Back on August 8th, we reported that Marcus officials stated that the South Towne cinema would close "later this year" in the same story about the development of a new Marcus complex in the Tradewinds Business Centre.
This closure will leave a bit of a void for Southeast Madison until the new cinema opens, the date for which has not been determined. The new complex has not yet begun construction, so its future existence is not assured.
