Digiplex Destinations LogoDigital Cinema Destinations Corp. (Digiplex) announced yesterday that it intends to purchase the Lisbon Landing Cinema in Lisbon, Connecticut. The 12-screen theater is currently being operated by O'neil Cinemas, which currently has one other location in New Hampshire and another is being built and should open later this year.

Digiplex recently expanded its operations by purchasing the Cinema Centers chain consisting of five locations in Pennsylvania, which brings them up to eight locations in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Connecticut (before this acquisition).

The press release mentions that a closing date on or before September 15, 2012 is planned.
