Starlight Cinema in Los Lunas, NM. Photo provided by Mitchell Theatres.Mitchell Theatres, LLC. announced earlier this month that it had acquired two locations in New Mexico from Storyteller Theatres Corporation. The Starlight Cinema in Los Lunas and the Storyteller Cinema in Taos are the ninth and tenth location for Mitchell Theatres, which are located in Colorado, Kansas, Missouri, New Mexico, and Oklahoma.

Photo provided by Mitchell Theatres.The press release dated July 12, 2012 states that both theaters will be converted to Digital Cinema Projection systems featuring 7.1 channel digital sound, and many auditoriums will have 3D capability as well. Extensive remodeling is planned for the fall, which will include new carpeting, seats, and renovated concession areas.

Additionally, the new owner plans to reduce admission and concession prices!
