|Home: BigScreen Journal - Newark, CA: Cinedome 7 Newark Slashes Prices to Stimulate Business|
The Newark Patch is reporting that the Cinedome 7 Newark in Newark, California is slashing its admission prices in the hopes of attracting customers. Apparently, business is down since the Century at Pacific Commons in Fremont opened in April.
In an aggressive move to keep customers coming, the Cinedome 7 movie theater near NewPark Mall has slashed admission prices to as low as 75-cents for some performances.
Most tickets at the 30-year-old multiplex are now $2, or $2.50 for weekend evening shows.

Both theaters are operated by Cinemark, so this move is either a way to draw in as many people as possible across both locations (as the article quotes the assistant manager at the Cinedome), or it's just the first signs of a theater circling the drain. Time will tell which scenario is accurate.
