Small-town girl from New Jersey goes to New York with big dreams. That plot's been done before, right?
Sure, but did any of those movies have sexy barmaids dancing on the bar to "The Devil Went Down To Georgia" by the Charlie Daniels Band? I didn't think so.
Violet "Jersey" Sanford's journey toward her dream provides the road map for this movie, but as with many journeys, it's not the destination but the journey itself that makes this movie worth watching.
Loaded with great dancing, just the right level of sensuality, and an infectious soundtrack, Coyote Ugly is just plain fun to watch!
This particular showing was the special "Unrated Special Edition" DVD, which adds a few minutes of dancing, shopping, and a completely unnecessary extended sex scene with bad editing and an obvious body double. The regular cut of the movie is just as enjoyable.
Well worth renting or purchasing just to have around when you need a fun movie to watch.
