Regal Entertainment Group LogoThe Bellingham Herald is reporting today that the Regal Sehome Cinemas 3 in Bellingham, Washington is up for sale, with a stipulation that it cannot be used for a movie theater by the new owner.

Envision Realty Advisors West, which has an office in Portland, Ore., is listing the property with an asking price of $1.4 million. The listing indicates that the property will be "deed restricted" after the sale, meaning the property can't be used as a movie theater.

With construction of the Regal Barkley Village Stadium 16 & IMAX nearing completion (the article mentions a December 2012 opening), this news partially answers the obvious question of the fate of three Regal Cinemas locations in Bellingham that we asked when the Barkley Village location was announced in November 2010.

The fate of the other two theaters, the Regal Sunset Square Cinemas 6 and Regal Bellis Fair Cinemas 6, is not yet known.
