The Dickinson Northrock 14 in Wichita, Kansas closed this weekend. According to an article in the Wichita Business Journal, the building had been sold back in January with plans to make into office space, but the recent bankruptcy filing by the theater's owner, Dickinson Theatres, appears to have finally sealed its fate.

Moviegoers in the area do have options, but some of them are going to be a long walk. The 13th Avenue Warren and the Warren Old Town Theatre & Grill are the closest. You can view a list of all theaters within 10 miles for more choices.

Didn't realize until today it had closed. I really liked the theater, didn't feel as rushed around and busy as the big Warren Theater does in Wichita. Our family preferred the family feel.
