Back in July, we reported on a marketing campaign intended to spread the word about HD DVD, one of the formats providing high definition movies and video to succeed standard definition DVDs. One of the elements of that campaign is the "HD DVD Mobile Experience," a semi-truck that is touring the country equipped with the latest in high definition home theater technology, PCs, laptops, and the HD-capable Xbox 360 gaming platform.
That 18-wheeler is in New York this week, and HD DVD was featured in a short spot on today's broadcast of "The Today Show." In case you missed it, High Def Digest is featuring the video at the Read link below. Al Roker talks with an HD DVD rep about HD DVD and what makes it special.
We'll forgive Al for mistaking that it was first being released today (it was first released back in March/April), since it's nice to see the word getting out about cool stuff that we can connect to our HDTVs.
