The new B & B Theatres - Grain Valley Marketplace 8 in Grain Valley, Missouri opens to the public today, and they are celebrating by offering customers a free small popcorn with the purchase of a movie ticket at any Kansas City area B & B location.

The eight-screen movie theater is located at 1131 North East McQuerry Road in Grain Valley, which is just East of Kansas City. According to the theater's web site, one of those screens will be a "B & B Grand Screen" which appears to be a big-screen concept similar to Regal's RPX, AMC's ETX, Cinemark's XD, and others. It lists a "wall-to-wall screen" but no size is given, Dolby 7.1 surround sound, high-backed rocker stadium-style seating, and a Digital Cinema Projection system capable of 2D and 3D presentations.

An article published by The Examiner about the theater's opening mentions a special promotion for the first visitors tonight:

The first 100 people in the door Wednesday night will receive a free prize pack as well as a free 46-ounce popcorn.

B & B Theatres has 32 movie theaters in Florida, Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Texas. Two new 12-screen locations are expected to open in 2013: the Wylie 12 at Woodbridge Centre in Wylie/Murphy, Texas that is expected to open in April and Waynesville/St. Robert, Missouri that is scheduled to open in "Summer 2013."
