Empire Theatres announced that the Empire Theatres - Kingston in Kingston, Ontario opened today, December 21, 2012 and with its opening, the Empire Theatres - Capitol 7 Cinemas has closed.

The new 10-screen theater features curved screens, Dolby Digital surround sound, stadium-style seating and wide rocker-style seats. An IMAX theater is also part of the complex.

"We are committed to offering our guests the best entertainment experience and IMAX helps us deliver on this promise," says Dean Leland, Vice President, Studio Relations & Media, Empire Theatres. "We look forward to offering moviegoers in the Kingston area with a movie-going experience unlike anything they've seen before."
