The Carmike Cinema at The Village at Myrtle Grove in Wilmington, North Carolina was supposed to open this summer, but according to an article in The Star News, the project is dead:
Carmike Cinemas will not open its planned 10-sceen cinema at the Villages at Myrtle Grove, the center's developer and property manager said Thursday.
"The movie theater will not be built at Myrtle Grove because there is a reciprocal easement agreement between us and Home Depot that restricts the property from certain uses, including a movie theater and other tenant leases that have restrictions," said Nielle Lott with Ziff Properties in an email Thursday.
"We had an agreed-upon lease with Carmike, and Home Depot was fully on board with the use, was excited and had given their permission," she said. "The other lease restrictions, however, do not seem to be able to be overcome."

The project was announced by Carmike in July 2011.
