If you've been to the home page since yesterday afternoon, you may have noticed that things look a little different. I've rearranged some of the content, and eliminated some of it to clean up the page and not waste your time with lots of clutter.

Specifically, the Journal entries have been moved to the right column near the top of the page. Since the Journal was started back in April, it has become a central clearinghouse for news headlines, new features on this site, my general ramblings, and more. It has also grown in popularity and we wanted to make it more accessible by placing its content higher on the page.

As with many changes, some things become collateral damage. When I moved the Journal entries, it became obvious that the New Movies, Box Office, and Coming Soon modules weren't as relevant as the other information that was on that page. As a result, those modules were removed.

The upside to this is that the home page isn't doing as many requests for information, and therefore is a little faster as a result.
