|Home: BigScreen Journal - "Reader Favorites" Listing Updated in Now Showing|
We noticed recently that the "Reader Favorites" listing on the "All Movies" page in Now Showing was displaying more movies from days gone by than new releases and we thought that it would make more sense to show more recent releases in that area instead.
The reason that happened was that the Reader Favorites display was an all-time display. Any movie that is currently playing was included in the listing, so big movies from the past that have come back to any theater in the country (like Marvel's The Avengers) had an advantage due to its popularity and history on the site.
From now on, that movie listing will show movies that have been released recently (or will be in the near future).
It also will be updated more frequently, so when you add a movie as one of your Favorite Movies, your vote will be used in that ranking several times per day. Spread the word and get your friends to vote, and watch your favorite movie climb in the ranks!
To add a movie to your Favorite Movies list, just look for the Add Movie to Favorites button on that movie's Showtimes and Information page.
