|Home: BigScreen Journal - Cincinnati, OH: Cinemark Oakley Station & XD Now Open|
The Cinemark Oakley Station & XD in Cincinnati, Ohio opened on Friday, August 9, 2013, according to a press release issued by Cinemark recently. The new 14-screen movie theater features Digital Cinema Projection systems in every auditorium, with seven capable of 3D presentations. One of their big-screen concept XD "Extreme Digital Cinema" auditoriums is part of the new location.
“The new Cinemark Oakley Station is our first complex to be constructed in the Cincinnati market,” states Tim Warner, Cinemark’s Chief Executive Officer. “The new theatre introduces Cinemark’s NextGen and XD auditoriums and will quickly become recognized as the preferred theatre to enjoy a great movie-going experience.”
The closest theaters to the Oakley Station movie theater are the Mariemont Theatre and Esquire Theatre, with the nearest large multiplex being the AMC Newport On The Levee 20 across the river in Newport, Kentucky.
