All guests to receive one free Small popcorn per ticket purchase, November 17 - 19

Rockaway, N.J. (November 13, 2006) - The residents of Rockaway Township will now be able to access the paramount in moviegoing when AMC Rockaway 16 opens to the public on Friday, November 17, 2006. The new theatre boasts premium state-of-the-art technology and 16 auditoriums with more than 3,300 stadium-style seats, creating a preeminent out-of-home entertainment experience for the Rockaway area. To celebrate the grand opening, every AMC Rockaway 16 guest will receive one free small popcorn with each ticket purchased November 17 - 19, 2006.

Movie posters more than twenty feet high and searchlight designs outside the theatre welcome guests to AMC Rockaway 16. Reminiscent of the grandeur of a grand central station, three domed archways carry guests into the four-story lobby, illuminated with a chandelier more than two stories tall. Custom-made flooring and a deep saturation of rich, primary colors lead moviegoers to the high-capacity concession area with state-of-the-art, digital menu boards under the radial canopy designs from above.

As guests walk through the theatre, they are led by custom light fixtures shining in contrast to the deep tones of the ceilings. Multiple seating areas complementing the lobby and concession area allow guests to relax. In addition, a well-appointed lounge area directly across from the gaming area provides guests the opportunity to mingle, play and enjoy a complete entertainment experience.

A key entertainment fixture at the Rockaway Townsquare Mall, AMC Rockaway 16 will feature amenities including:

• Stadium seating with 18-inch risers and 48-inch row spacing for a perfectly clear unobstructed view in all auditoriums.

• AMC's proprietary Digital Theatre Distribution System® (DTDS) for enhanced pre-show entertainment that includes a first-look access to everything from movies, television, music, sports and advertising.
• Rear Window Captioning which emits a caption that hearing impaired moviegoers can pick up with a device that slips into their cupholder, and Descriptive Video for moviegoers who are sight impaired are all available.
• Large, efficient, fast-serve concession area with digital menu boards offering a wide variety of moviegoers' favorite theatrical food and beverage options including free refills on large fountain drinks and large popcorn.

• Four Automated Box Offices (ABO) for easy ticket purchasing and advance ticket order pick-up inside the theatre, with three remote ABOs in the mall's courtyard, enabling guests to purchase tickets 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
