The nominations for the 87th annual Academy Awards were announced early Thursday, January 15, 2015 by director J.J. Abrams, director Alfonso Cuarón, actor Chris Pine, and Academy President Cheryl Boone Isaacs. 

The announcements were broadcast live on YouTube this morning, and the two segments are included below if you are interested in watching them.

Announcement Videos

The awards will be presented on Sunday, February 22, 2015 at the Dolby Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center. The ceremony will be broadcast on ABC starting at 4pm Pacific Time (6pm Central Time). Actor Neil Patrick Harris will be hosting the ceremony.
