The new theater is located inside the struggling Three Rivers Mall and replaces the Regal Three Rivers Mall 5 that was located on an outlet, as well as the Regal Triangle Cinemas 4 in Longview. Both of those theaters closed January 11th.

"Three Rivers Mall will be attracting moviegoers from around the region. Our new entertainment destination includes the impressive Regal Premium Experience," says Rachel Lueras, western region marketing manager for Regal Entertainment Group. "RPX is the very best way to view a movie with picture perfect presentation. It's our gift to all of our loyal moviegoers in the Longview-Kelso area."

"We are excited to kickoff 2015 by showing our community spirit and giving back to local organizations during these charity events," says Russ Nunley, vice president of marketing and communications for Regal Entertainment Group. "Regal is thrilled to be replacing our two existing theatres nearby with this magnificent new one and I'm certain moviegoers are going to love it. We invite everyone to help celebrate this new theatre by trying us out."

The 12-screen movie theater will be able to host more than 2,400 moviegoers with now-standard Digital Cinema Projection systems and stadium seating with high-backed rocking seats. The large-format RPX auditorium will seat 352 people in leather rocking seats in front of its 60'x33' screen. There will be a $4 upcharge for shows in the RPX auditorium, so be prepared to pay extra for the cut-above-the-others experience.

Regal has installed the Sony Entertainment Access System, which helps the deaf, hard of hearing, blind, and low vision guests enjoy movies through eyewear for viewing closed captioned text in their line of sight and wireless audio receivers that play descriptive audio text through headseats. This system allows all guests to enjoy the same movie instead of depending on separate showings for those that need such assistance. Presentations using the system will be labelled as having "Accessibility devices available."

Now that the other two Regal locations have closed, the only theater nearby is the Kelso Theater Pub, a single-screen venue that appears to be a combination of movie theater, tavern, and cafe.
