Regal Entertainment Group logoThe Regal Severance Town Center Stadium 14 in Cleveland Heights, Ohio closed after the last movies were shown on March 19, 2015.

A recent article published on cleveland.com announced the theater's closure:

No signs inside or outside the theater indicated the closing. However, workers said they would post signs announcing the theater closing at about 10:45 p.m.

Officials at Regal Entertainment Group could not be reached tonight. Cleveland Heights Mayor Dennis Wilcox also could not be reached.

Regal's closing is the latest sign of trouble for Severance. In December, a Cuyahoga County judge signed off on a foreclosure decree related to the retail center. A lender has asked that Severance be sold at auction in an attempt to recover more than $38 million in debt.

The theater originally opened in 2000. Click the Read link below to view the full article.

Moviegoers in the area will need to visit the Cedar Lee in Cleveland Heights, the Regal Cinemas Richmond Town Square 20 in Richmond Heights (only about three miles away), or one of the other nearby theaters.
