As I mentioned on November 29th, the Hilldale Theatre in Madison, Wisconsin showed its last movie this past weekend before closing for good. The theater is being replaced in the Hilldale Shopping Center by the Sundance 608, operated by Robert Redford's Sundance Cinemas. The new theater is scheduled to open in Spring 2007.
Rather than just close the doors unceremoniously like some theaters do, operator AGT Enterprises decided to bid the theater a fond farewell by inviting customers to a special sing-a-long version of the first movie shown at the Hilldale, "The Sound of Music."
