We're on the hunt for high-quality businesses and organizations that are looking to get their message seen by our readers. I'd love to be able to display relevant, local ads on our pages, as I think they provide a better service to our readers than other types of ads that are available from some ad agencies.
To that end, if you own a business or lead an organization that wants to get the word out about what you offer, please consider the following opportunities for doing so on The BigScreen Cinema Guide:
Your message is displayed every time someone views information related to a particular movie theater. Since people tend to go to movie theaters near their work and homes, you can reach people in a specific geographical area by sponsoring a theater.
You own that space for the entire duration of your campaign, so you're not rotating out with other ads. Every page for that theater will display your message; the showtimes page, the information page, the photo gallery, announcements, comment card, and the area dining page. You can have the same ad displayed all the time, or you can have multiple that are shown to mix things up a little. The choice is yours.
If you would like to see an example of a Theater Sponsorship in action, check out the pages for the Marcus Sheboygan Cinemas. Feel free to click on the various pages related to the theater, and you will see how the advertiser is being displayed.
Pricing for Theater Sponsorships can be as low as $8 per week if you commit to a year-long campaign, but you can start out with an 8-week campaign for just $15 per week. Click for more information.
Just like Theater Sponsorships target theaters, Movie Sponsorships target movies. You can deliver your message to people looking for information on particular movies, which can be a unique way to target your message. We've had local organizations target families by sponsoring all the G and PG-rated movies for a period of time. This allowed them to be seen by the specific group of people they were hoping to attract.
Just like Theater Sponsorships, you own that space for the duration of your campaign. No having to share our readers' attentions with others!
The pricing for Movie Sponsorships start at $20 per week for short 4-week runs, but you can get that down to $8 per week if you want to sponsor a variety of movies over the course of a year. Click for more information.
Area Dining Advertising
Do you own a restaurant? Would you like to be listed where people are going for information about where to eat when they see a movie? Look no further than the Area Dining page for the theaters near you! Dinner and a movie is as natural as baseball and hot dogs, so make your presence known and welcome moviegoers to your restaurant.
We offer different sizes of ads ranging from large 240x90 ads to simple text listings. For an example of what these can look like, check out the Marcus Ridge Cinema Area Dining page and the Restaurant Advertising information.
Pricing starts at free (!) for a text listing, to $60 and $90 for a standard and large ad, respectively.
So why am I telling you this? Because I happen to think that local, relevant advertising is better than generic, national advertising. I think it's better for our readers, because they see messages that are relevant to them, and it's better for our advertisers, because we can offer them valuable advertising exposure at a great price. Everybody wins!
