According to the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, the Cinema 8 at the Shoppes at Northway will be showing movies for the last time on Sunday, January 21, 2007:
Northway Mall 8, a multiplex on McKnight Road in Ross, at the recently renamed Shoppes at Northway, will close at the end of business on Sunday.
"The decision to close the theater, operated by National Amusements, was made because the company had reached the end of its lease contract date, and the landlord made the decision to develop more retail space in the area currently occupied by the cinema," according to a statement by Wanda Whitson, director of corporate media for the theater circuit.
