This week isn't very strong on DVD releases, that's for sure. The releases list on Amazon.com shows plenty of TV shows at the top, but this week's featured new release, "Away from Her," is sitting at #16 in the sales rank for the new releases.

The biggest home video release news is that "Transformers" will be coming to DVD and HD DVD on October 16. 105 days after its theatrical release on July 3rd! Those release windows are tightening more and more, and we'll probably see even shorter times in the future. How far can simultaneous release to theaters and home video can we be?
