8 Screen Theater to Open at Royal Lane & 75

DALLAS, Sept. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Changing the way we go to the movies in the Metroplex! Ditch those stuffy seats and start to rock because the newest, hippest Studio Movie Grill flagship is coming soon to the heart of Dallas. Avid Metroplex movie-goers are already abuzz for the newest state of the art location. And just think of how much gas they'll save now that they can stay in town!

Studio Movie Grill plans to roll out the red carpet on its first location in central Dallas. Scheduled for the first quarter of 2008, SMG-Royal Lane will explode onto the scene at 11170 North Central Expressway with an 8 screen boutique-styled venue-good news indeed for those that live south of LBJ -- in Preston Hollow, University & Highland Park, Lake Highlands, Lake Wood and Uptown.

There's no doubt that the battle for Dallas moviegoers is definitely about to heat up! With upscale amenities and the highest level of customer service, Studio Movie Grill simply offers the best in first run movie presentation, with a full food service, soft drink, beer, wine & premium liquor menu and the perfect atmosphere to enjoy both in the comfort of individual leather seating.

In fact, Studio Movie Grill's newest launch is about more than just announcing its 6th venue and a new flagship theater. SMG -- under owners Brian Schultz and Martin Massman -- will now be competing on a different scale by expanding beyond its suburban roots and onto one of Dallas' major thoroughfares in its stylishly redesigned location.

"We've been pursuing a venue in central Dallas for quite some time, and the new flagship location is perfectly situated. We can't wait to open our doors! With its boutique feel, SMG-Royal Lane promises to be the ideal setting to attract not only the professional, trend-setting moviegoer but also families with children. We've added some very special touches, while retaining the highest standards in all areas of projection and dining. There is no doubt in our minds that this neighborhood will thoroughly enjoy the movie grill concept and watching films in a more comfortable, sophisticated environment," predicts Brian Schultz, President and pioneer of the Movie Grill concept.

Capturing the company's reputation for excellence, SMG was featured in Film Journal International in 2007 "Studio Movie Grill's to Perfection," was voted "Best Theater in Dallas" by Dallas Morning News and was included as an audience pick in the Houston Chronicle's Ultimate Fun & Games. Even Dallas Cowboys' great and movie fan Tony Romo declared his favorite pastime is to watch movies at Studio Movie Grill in recent interviews on both The Ticket and in Dallas Modern Luxury magazine.

Studio Movie Grill has not only pioneered but remained the number one force to be reckoned with in the movie grill concept niche in Texas. The Royal Lane venue will offer ample, well-lit parking. Auditoriums will be equipped with the best in 100% Dolby EX Digital sound, and custom designed Christie projection systems, which have already set SMG theaters apart from its competitors. Studio Movie Grill's four-star kitchen, overseen by Executive Chef Thad Kelley, will offer the same extensive, upscale, comfort food menu featured twice on the Food Network's Top Five, with such items as Half Rack of smoked St. Louis BBQ Back Ribs, Gourmet Pizzas with honey-baked dough brushed with honey butter, or fresh salads with homemade dressings, in addition to new favorites such as the Chicken Fried Steak Sandwich and Thai Chicken Salad. The full-service beverage menu includes domestic and imported beers, premium wines, and specialty mixed drinks, such as a Kahlua Mudslide,or the signature 20 oz. Studio Grande Blue Margarita. Non-alcoholic beverages are also available.

A full service bar will serve menu items to patrons in the comfortable, state-of-the-art lobby area. Once inside the theaters, audiences will have a national commercial-free moviegoing experience -- unlike its competitors, SMG only runs a soundless pre-show featuring local advertisers. Focusing on "Film, Food & Fun" for the entire family and cinephiles alike, the Royal Lane location will show first run movies in a first-class setting and continue to set new standards for the industry as a whole.

"The upscale movie grill experience is what our core audience is looking for," said Brian Schultz, "Combining great food and the best movies in one comfortable spot without having to do the dishes is hard to resist, and that's why we've got such a loyal customer base."

Based on current trends, many industry analysts consider the movie grill concept to be the future of movie going and the evolution of the entertainment industry marketplace as a whole.
