Johnny Depp's next movie is "Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street" which opens on Friday, December 21, 2007. It is directed by Tim Burton, so expect something more along the lines of "Edward Scissorhands" than "Pirates of the Caribbean."

This movie is a big-screen adaptation of the musical-thriller "Sweeney Todd," in which Depp stars as a man who vows revenge after being sent to prison unjustly and how the event affected his family. After returning to his barber shop, he becomes the Demon Barber of Fleet Street who "shaved the heads of gentlemen who never thereafter were heard from again."
