If you're looking for a unique and definitely non-traditional way to spend Christmas Eve, select theaters in New York and Los Angeles will be showing a special "Midnight Mass-acre" showing of "Aliens vs. Predator - Requiem" on December 24th, the night before the movie's official Christmas Day release.
There will be two locations for this special event:
The first 100 people in line at each location will receive commemorative shirts that read "I Survived Midnight Mass-acre Christmas Eve 2007."
This is the latest installment of the "Alien" and "Predator" storylines, which were brought together for the first time in 2004 with "Alien vs. Predator." The premise for this movie is that the Aliens are back on earth, joined by an Alien/Predator hybrid named the "Predalien." The only thing standing in their way is a "cleaner" Predator whose sole purpose is to rid the Earth of any evidence of the Aliens, no matter who or what gets in the way.
The movie opens in theaters nationwide on Tuesday, December 25, 2007 -- that most appropriate of release dates for horror movies, or not. If all this appeals to you, be sure to check out all the details about the movie, including showtimes for a theater near you.
